The 17th Century

Huge cba today. So big it deserves to be in capitals. But cba to do it.
Gotta do a bit of research on the 17th century literature. Boring. Why can't we do modern stuff.

I don't even know many 17th century authors or stuff, i mean shakespeare was there, but that was only at the very start.

I want help.

Anyone wanna do some posters about it for me?

No?

Sure?

Your loss.

Official Rules of Ghosting

A sport widely tipped to take the 2012 olympics by storm (if they allow it to be included) is one that has been invented by well known Australians, Hamish and Andy.

To start off with, the whole sport comes under the category of getting into someone's personal space. Anyway, the original 'ghosting' involves the competitor walking as close as they can behind the 'target', without being caught by the 'target'. The time starts when the ghost is 'engaged'. Usually competed between two teams, the winner is the team who can stay behind the person for the longest amount of time.

This is only the beginning, one on one. There is then a progression if the competition needs to be spiced up a bit. Again, if at the end of the competition there is a tie (equal number of 'ghosting' rounds won) then there is a tie breaker. For the one on one stage there is 'speed ghosting'. The rules for this are very similar to that of original ghosting, except the competitor follows a jogger. Same rules about time apply.

There are also other variations of the game. If more than 2 people want to play, then they can be split into teams. For example a 2 on 2 situation. If this were to occur, then they could take part in a 'tag-team' ghosting session. Again similar rules applying, however with 2 people this time, and the competitors need to 'tag' each other to swap over the ghost. (This can be used to incorporate a third person if necessary). Furthermore if there is another draw, then a tie breaker needs to be completed. A widely used example of this is 'free-style' ghosting, where the team creatively follow the target. One such is example is the 'shoulders' technique (famously used by Hamish and Ryan in the recent ghosting championships held in Australia) where one of the competitors rides on the other person's shoulders and ghosts a person. Another method (also used in the ghosting championships this time by Andy and Peter) was the 'tandem-ghost', where they follow two people who are walking side by side.

Now for the up-coming ghosters. Firstly we have John David Robert McCrea from Naboo. He actually opened the majority of the world's eyes to ghosting, including myself. On saturday in the warm-up games in Nottingham, he attempted to ghost a delivery van. Very impressive.

Another man goes by the name of Conor O'hare. This guy also was competing on saturday and showed impressive ghosting skills, while ghosting an old man. Impressive also.

And finally we come to yours truly. Matthew English (AKA ME) ghosted a postman who was delivering in Nottingham.

These three made up Team Spoon on saturday. Now, there were reasonable attempts in the games, including 2 particular examples of tandem tag-team ghosting (Part of the new combined area of the sport) where we actually went completely undetected, and another on Haydn Clarke, going into the cornerhouse, where we were undetected for a long time, blowing all other competition out of the way. However, what made the day truly spectacular was a, never before attempted ghost, christened 'Conga ghosting'. The three of us were about to embark on a triple ghost on 'guy in a camo coat', when there was a couple who got between us, however, they followed closely behind 'guy in a camo coat' and unwittingly participated in a 6, that's right, 6 man conga ghost, for around half a minute. A new recored for the games, and making us strong competitors in the upcoming world cup.

Next time, another sport invented by Hamish and Andy, 3 step nick knocking.

Thank you and goodnight :)

A Review of this morning.

Early start today, went to see terminator salvation in Nottingham.
Stayed the night at John M's. Was pretty good. Brapped people on gears of war.

Woke at 7 :)

In Nottingham for 8.

Was pretty good actually, not many people about, starbucks, lovely cappuccino. Yum.

Then met Conor. Good times.

Hmmm, i'll leave the short sentence thing for now and continue the rest of the epic tale with a different style of syntax. Well, after meeting Conor in the Vic centre, we happened to walk past, what can only be described as a 'mentos fest'. They were giving out free mints.

Mint!

So we grabbed a handful and went on our way, towards the wonderful, the fantastic, John Lewis. Now, we stumbled upon some 70p spoons in there....

HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE.

Well we each bought one and walked up to the counter separately and bought them, with the shop assistants trying not to laugh.

Oh but the fun didn't end there...... Now it was time to return to the 'mentos fest' that was manifesting its self in the vic centre outside hawkin's Bazaar. Now they had a special game on! Spin the wheel and win a prize. So being the hyper characters that we were, one of us just HAD to have a go. John stepped up to the plate and duly delivered with a free pack of mentos! Sexy.

Alas after this, it was time to meet Haydn at the cinema. However, we weren't just going to walk up to the cornerhouse and greet him, no no no. The previous night, john and myself had viewed a video about a new sport called 'ghosting' (gonna do a blog on it another time) and we decided to employ this against Haydn. Basically you follow behind them very closely without them knowing. It worked, was funny, watched the film, went home.

Good day :)

A decade of BB

Big Brother started again today, and can i just say, i think i'm gonna like this series :)

Sophie is one to look out for. Seems very nice person.
The fact that she is a model has nothing to do with my opinion of her though.

There were some characters in there.

One particular quote stood out. I personally feel it was a bit.. forward lets say, first thing someone said on their vid.

"I don't have a nasty bone in my body, except the one up my boyfriend's ass last night."

This person, can't remember the name, but i think they're gay.
There's also the lesbian and rodrigo the bisexual.

so there you go

i want sophie to win.

Supply-Side Policies in the UK Economy.

Supply-Side policies are used by the UK government to increase the long-term capacity of the economy. This helps to stimulate the long-run aggregate supply of the economy and therefore increase the potential output.

One of the key ways in which supply-side policies are used by the government, is through education and training. This is where workers who are out of work or unemployed have the opportunity to become more productive. This increases the labour productivity of the Uk, and as labour productivity is defined as being output per worker over time, the long run aggregate supply of the economy would increase (ceterus paribus). This can be useful as it helps to achieve many of the macroeconomic objectives set by the government. Firstly 'growth'. The increase of the potential output of the economy means that the UK economy would experience a stable rate of growth, similar to the target of the government. However, if the UK is not operating on it's production possibility frontier (PPF), then the long-term increase in potential output would have no effect on the economy as aggregate demand would not be sufficient and so the government would need to concentrate on stimulating aggregate demand.

Guitar Hero Metallica

When the game was announced, I was sceptical, I mean, I'm not really a huge fan of Metallica, they have good songs etc, but nothing spectacular. Plus the other songs on the game from the 'guest acts' were mediocre. However I decided to purchase the game despite this.

The game is good I'd say. Although Ride the Lightening isn't included i don't think, but they've changed the notes in 'one' which appeared in GH:3, which is good.

The game is....hard.

I'm trying to complete it on expert, but songs like war ensemble by slayer are near impossible. I probably could get it if i went on it all day, but i'm revising for economics :)

I'd recommend it, but not for a beginner, or someone who doesn't like metallica...

Warmth

God it was hot today, and what better way to cool one's self down than a nice bit of ice-cream, or even a cold drink.
Well, it would have been nice, but there seemed to be no nice cool refreshing drinks or snacks in the house today. And what a day to have that problem, not a cloud in the sky.
But yeah, i was annoyed because i was outside, and got really hot, so decided to come inside to look for a drink or something, only to be greeted by an AGA. Seriously it is the most annoying thing in the summer, why is there a need for it. Too warm. Ugh

And to top it off, there was no ice-cream.

Bad times.

But i bought a wicked shirt from pulp, so s'all good :)
